Pl-Grid (http://www.plgrid.pl/en) is a Polish infrastructure that consists of highly sufficient supercomputers that enable storing over 60 PB of data and making computation in a super-fast mode (5 PFlops). However, because of the high demand of scientific teams for this kind of infrastructure, one of the limiting factors can be waiting time until the cluster resources are available for a user. Users can first test Pl-Grid infrastructure through a testing grant, and if necessary, a proper grant with a higher computation time and hard disc space is allocated. Users can send scripts and data sets to the cluster via dedicated software, e.g., QCG-Now. We are in the middle of the computer science revolution, so it’s a good time to use its positive aspects – supercomputers working in clusters.
